Dr. Eddie is an empowerment speaker, college professor, radio/TV correspondent, and visionary of the Access Identity Conference. Dr. Eddie’s ideas, impact, and influence through the Access Identity Conference has led to registrants from 24 states and 13 countries from around the world being empowered to transform their vision into action.
As the founder of the Eagles Academy, he facilitates masterclasses on faith, identity, relationships, and speaker training sessions. He also served as the President of the National Entrepreneurs Association of Michigan.
Dr. Eddie is a best-selling author of 16 books and shares his story in The New York Times best-selling book REACH: 40 Black Men Speak on Living, Leading, and Succeeding. Dr. Eddie has spoken for the National Basketball Association (NBA) and has been featured on ABC, BET, CBS, Ebony, FOX, Jet, Lifetime TV, NBC, PBS, TEDx, The Steve Harvey TV Show, The Tom Joyner Show, The Huffington Post, USA Today, Mentoring Kings, and We TV. He has been a guest on The Potter's Touch and was an empowerment speaker at Bishop T.D. Jakes' MegaFest. He was featured in the acclaimed BET documentary, It Takes a Village to Raise Detroit and stars in the movie Lady Luck 2.
Dr. Eddie is the founder of the mentoring programs, Boys 2 Books and Gifted for Greatness which empowers young males via literacy, leadership, and life skills enrichment. As an aide to former U.S. Congressman Hansen Clarke, Dr. Eddie assisted in crafting a bipartisan resolution to address the urgent crisis of illiteracy in America. The resolution became the impetus for President Barack Obama’s, My Brother's Keeper initiative.
Dr. Eddie is a recipient of The President Barack Obama Volunteer Service Award and The President Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Award from The White House. Dr. Eddie is recognized as one of the Top 35 Millennial Influencers in America, listed in the Top 100 Leaders in Who’s Who in Black Detroit, Two-time Spirit of Detroit award recipient, Michigan Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40, and Author of the Year by Kingdom Image Awards.
